Where Smart Allocators Are Looking Next: Payments, Data, and Auto Finance
September headlines showed where capital is. Founder Friday shows where it’s going.
September was noisy - record chip bets, AI checkout wars, flying taxis in the skies.
ThinkFISH cuts through with the signals: Every Friday, we spotlight founders building the rails markets can’t run without.
🎣 This Week’s TL;DR
PLEXI – Alex Chianuri brings deep Wall Street data experience to a platform built for the underserved mid-market.
Prahsys – Grey Bonin is modernizing how medical and dental practices get paid, starting with payments and extending into AI-powered diagnostics.
Founder Spotlight: Alex Chianuri, PLEXI
Alex Chianuri has spent more than 25 years designing data infrastructure for some of the world’s most demanding organizations. By age 30, he had held senior technology roles at JP Morgan, Bridgewater Associates, and The Rohatyn Group.
Built as a self-serve enterprise data platform, PLEXI applies an “everything-as-code” architecture and modular building blocks to shorten implementation cycles. Drawing from more than a dozen institutional deployments, the platform is designed to help organizations go live in months rather than years.
Today, PLEXI is being used by hedge funds and healthcare organizations, with plans for a broader product launch in fall 2025.
For mid-market firms (a segment often underserved by incumbents) the platform reflects a veteran technologist’s effort to productize proven playbooks into accessible, scalable infrastructure. PLEXI on LinkedIn

Founder Spotlight: Grey Bonin, Prahsys
Grey Bonin trained in biomedical sciences at Texas A&M before moving into business operations, where he scaled a small shipping store into a multimillion-dollar printing company. That experience gave him firsthand exposure to how complex, outdated systems can slow growth.
In healthcare, similar inefficiencies are widespread. Private practices often lose revenue to legacy payment systems and lack modern tools to manage workflows. Grey founded Prahsys to address those gaps - starting with a payments platform for medical and dental practices and extending into AI-driven diagnostics with PrognosiX, a patent-pending imaging tool for dental x-rays.
Prahsys is integrating with payments networks and practice-management platforms reaching thousands of practices. Its leadership is also preparing an FDA 510(k) submission for PrognosiX AI, underscoring a roadmap that combines payments infrastructure with AI workflow tools.
For investors, Prahsys represents payments as the wedge and AI as the multiplier - led by a founder focused on modernizing the systems private practices rely on every day. Prahsys on LinkedIn
